A brand new decade has started. Following recent approval from the Da Nang authorities, a wide range of cultural activities and festivals along the both banks of the city’s Han River will happen across the city during 2020.

Here are very best events, activities and things to do all over Da Nang for the whole of the year.

A street carnival of live music and dancing will take place along a section of Tran Hung Dao between its intersections with Ly Nam De and Trieu Viet Vuong on the last Saturday of every month between January and September.

Street dancers in eye-catching costumes will parade along the tourist-packed street and perform Vietnamese and international musical works in many different genres of music, including paso doble, rumba, tango, cha-cha, salsa and disco.

At weekends from January - October, locals and visitors will be treated to exciting ‘Bai choi’ (singing while acting as playing cards) and folk music performances on the pavement of Tran Hung Dao at the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge.

Every Sunday night of February to September, street artistes will enchant residents and visitors with famous Vietnamese and international songs by musical instruments.

Some impressive Tuong performances by artistes from the city-based Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre will be staged at the eastern end of the Han River Bridge from April - September.

The eastern of the Nguyen Van Troi Bridge will host such fascinating street fine arts programmes as printmaking, photo exhibitions, sketching, calligraphy and graffiti drawing will be held at in the last weeks of May and July.

Between March and September, the ‘Weekend Playground’ event for local Youth Union members will take place at the western end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge opposite the city’s Museum of Cham Sculpture.
