Nestled in the alley No 133 on busy Nguyen Van Linh Street, Da Nang, the Cua Cui Restaurant offers its guests delicious traditional Vietnamese dishes, making them feel at home even when they visit the restaurant for the first time.

Ms Nguyen Thi Minh Thuong, the co-owner of the restaurant, said she and her close friend Phan Thi Huyen Trang often missed home cooking when they were away from her hometowns in Quang Tri and Han Tinh provinces to work in Da Nang.

Therefore, they decided to serve family-style meals to customers, especially people who live far away from their families and miss meals prepared by their mothers.

In addition to the inner common space at the restaurant, there are also private rooms for family members, and groups of friends who want to have their own private space.

Customers can opt for an intimate indoor seating or an outdoor dining under yellow light bulbs in the evening to immerse themselves in nature with a view from the restaurant’s balcony.

The Cua Cui Restaurant offers varied menu to satisfy its guests, especially regular choices on the daily menu of every Vietnamese family.

Most notable are ‘canh chua ca loc’ (sweet and sour soup with fish), ‘canh muop nau tom’ (luffa soup with shrimps), ‘thit heo kho trung’ (Vietnamese braised pork with hard-boiled eggs), ‘suon kho mang’ (pork chops with bamboo shoots), ‘ca bong kho to’ (goby cooked with fish sauce), ‘dua chua’ (fermented mixed pickles, ‘ca muoi’ (eggplants pickled in vinegar), boiled vegetables, and fried flying fish and eggs.

The prices of these dishes range between 15,000 VND and 59,000 VND each. The dishes feature simple yet special recipes which will leave customers time to linger over their meals at this restaurant.

After only one month of operation, the restaurant has become very popular with both domestic and foreign visitors, especially white-collar workers who are working at offices on Nguyen Van Linh street.
