Learning how to make pottery at Nha Nau

Ms Thuy, the owner of Nha Nau said, pottery has been her favourite hobby since childhood. Unlike the ceramic items that we use every day, her unique handmade, with rough organic exterior and smooth colorful interior, are made carefully, detailed by hand, and look like carved pieces of stone full of emotions.

Covering an area of 150m2, Nha Nau features old tiled roof, wooden doors, brick walls. All wooden tables and chairs, and decorations are deliberately made and impressively arranged by Thuy and her husband and friends. The rustic yet impressive space creates a cozy, elegant, and comfortable ambiance full of the floral scent.

Sources of raw materials used to make Nha Nau’s flower tea are carefully selected. Besides familiar flower tea drinks made from rose, chrysanthemum, and other types of sweet-scented flowers, the shop wins the trust of its customer with Japanese rum.

It is worth mentioning that flower tea shows off a wonderful mixture amongst a number of ingredients so as to create its own unique taste, for example white daisies associating with goji berries, whilst red artichokes matching with dried oranges.

In addition, another special feature of Nha Nau’s drinks is a harmonious combination between such basic drinks as white, green, black and oolong teas with flower tea, herbs and dried fruits. The recipes are researched by the owner and based on European-styled methods.

A bottle of tea is priced at 28,000 VND to 50,000 VND. In addition to flower tea, Nha Nau offers other irresistibly delicious and reasonably priced drinks, including juices, smoothies, yogurt and coffee, whose prices hovers at 15,000 VND - 29,000 VND / glass.

The schedule for the pottery making class is fixed on Wednesdays and Saturdays (from 1:30pm to 5:30pm), Fridays (from 5:30pm to 9:30pm, and Sundays (from 8:30am to 12:00pm). Meanwhile, the embroidery class runs on Wednesdays (from 8:00 am to 11:30am), Sundays (from 1:30pm to 5:30pm). The drawing class takes place on Sundays (from 9:00am to 11:00am).
